Mark Ellis Lehman — former General Counsel, Executive Vice President, and Director of Bear Stearns — passed away on August 27, 2023, in New York, at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease, Lewy Body Dementia, and Gaucher's Disease. He was surrounded by his devoted family, including his brothers Bruce and Bob, and his children, David and Abigail.

Beyond a distinguished career in finance and law, Mark was remembered for his moral compass, his generosity, and his unwavering commitment to fairness and justice — qualities his daughter spoke to directly in her eulogy.
